The children visited the Altona Cenotaph last week to lay a wreath in honour of Anzac Day.
The teachers have been busy explaining to the children the meaning of Anzac Day and why it is important to our country. All the children have been very enthusiastic, learning about this special day.
Enoute to the Cenotaph, the children visited the Altona RSL to view the medals and memorabilia on display. Everyone found the display fascinating and lots of discussion took place about what they saw.
In the weeks leading up to their excursion, the children were busy making poppies and a wreath to take on their visit and were very proud of their achievements.
