April 2, 2018Anzac Day
May 2, 2018Our first group of children for 2018 have visited the Estia Aged Care facility. This is a wonderful program designed to promote greater interaction between the residents and the children.
The smiles on both the children and the residents said it all! Everybody involved absolutely loved the visit.
There were many different activities on offer – we played playdough, coloured in and built with our LcQ blocks.
The children kept the residents very busy with singing and dancing with scarves as well as a story and the always favourite, throwing and catching the ball.
The children and residents had a delicious morning tea of yummy fruit which was provided by Estia.
The kinder committee has been hard at work making an application for a grant to assist with the cross-age learning. We are hoping to use this grant for an iPad and Bluetooth speaker, so we can share photos, music and stories between the kinder and the Estia facility.
These visits are a regular excursion for the children throughout the year and we can’t wait for our next visit!
