This week the children have been learning about various shapes and how these shapes appear in our everyday lives.

What better way to learn about shapes than by making pizza!

A fun, hands on learning activity that not only has the children thinking about shapes – a whole pizza is a circle, half a pizza is a semi-circle and one slice of pizza is a triangle but encourages the children’s fine motor skills too with the use of tongs to pick up the various toppings to go on their pizzas.

It was suggested that a visit to a pizza shop to see how they make pizzas might be in order, sounds delicious!
